Dendrobium nativitatis, also known as the Christmas Island crimp orchid, is a type of epiphytic orchid found only on Christmas Island, an Australian territory in the Indian Ocean. It has long, straggly stems, flattened pseudobulbs, a single leathery leaf, and a pale yellow flower. This orchid was first described in 1907 by Henry Nicholas Ridley, who originally named it Dendrobium pectinatum, but later changed it to Dendrobium nativitatis. It is commonly found in the rainforest on the plateau and high terraces of Christmas Island, where it prefers to grow on Planchonella and Eugenia trees. This orchid is closely related to another species found in Java and Sumatra.
