Dendrobium lineale is a species of orchid found along the north-eastern coast of New Guinea and into the Indonesian Province of Papua. It has long cane-like pseudobulbs and produces inflorescences with many flowers. Its leaves are oblong or lanceolate and can last for two to three months. This orchid is known for its variety of flower colors, including pink, blue, yellow, purple, and white. It was previously known as Dendrobium veratrifolium and was one of the first orchids to be taken overseas from Papua New Guinea for hybridization. The size and color of the flowers can vary depending on the location of origin, with some varieties including 'Karkar Island Pink', 'Jawani Island Yellow', 'Kui Island Blue', and 'Morobe Shower'.
