Iris tridentata is a species of iris found in the Southeastern United States. It has a cord-like rhizome, bright green leaves, long stem and fragrant flowers in spring in shades of blue. It is hardy to USDA Zone 5 to 8 and prefers wet habitats such as wetlands, wet savannahs, damp meadows, damp ditches, pine flatwoods, swamps, and bogs. It is rare in cultivation in the UK due to its lack of hardiness. It is mentioned in 'A Fifth Checklist of Tennessee Vascular Plants' and specimens can be found in the Florida Museum of Natural History.
