Iris rutherfordii is a bulbous perennial species in the genus Iris and subgenus Xiphium. It was discovered in 2004 in Morocco by a group of researchers and was later described and published in 2009. The species was named after botanist Ronald Rutherford and is currently not an accepted name by the RHS. It has a brown bulb, narrow leaves, and blue flowers with white stripes. It is native to the Rif region in North Morocco and is currently considered critically endangered due to its small population and potential threat of extinction.
