Iris magnifica is a beautiful flowering plant that belongs to the Iris genus and subgenus Scorpiris. It is native to the mountains of Central Asia, particularly the Zarafshan Range in Uzbekistan. This plant is highly sought after as an ornamental plant in temperate regions due to its stunning pale lilac and white flowers that bloom in the spring. It can grow up to 60 centimeters in height, but may be smaller in poor soil conditions. Iris magnifica has been recognized by the Royal Horticultural Society and has been awarded the prestigious Award of Garden Merit. It also has a popular hybrid, Iris magnifica 'Agalik' (Vved), which produces lavender-blue to white flowers with an orange-tangerine crest. This hybrid is known to bloom between April and May and can reach a height of 40-60 centimeters. It is also relatively hardy in the United States.

Expose seeds to natural outdoor winter conditions for 3 months, then gradually increase light and temperature in the spring.
Requires Soaking: These seeds need to be soaked in warm water until they swell, which can take 24-48 hours. Seeds that float are usually not viable and should be discarded, along with the soaking water.
very difficult, few seeds germinate, sow fresh or soak stored seed, bring indoors once germinated to avoid temperature shock, transplant at 4 leaves, may not germinate for 3 years or more
