Iris latistyla is a rhizomatous perennial plant species in the genus Iris, native to Tibet and China. It has narrow, linear leaves and produces violet or blue-purple flowers on simple flowering stems. The flowers have 2 pairs of petals and a serrated crest in the center. After flowering, it produces a seed capsule. It is commonly known as wide-style iris and has been found in forest margins and grasslands near paddy fields at altitudes of 2,800 to 4,000 meters. It was first described in 1980 and has been placed in both the Lophiris and Iris subg. Nepalensis sections. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant in temperate regions.
