Iris kuschkensis is a species of perennial plant in the genus Iris, belonging to the subgenus Iris and section Regelia. It is native to Afghanistan and is rarely cultivated as an ornamental plant in temperate regions. The plant grows up to 30-50 cm tall and has blue brown, purple, or purple bronze flowers with a pale purple beard. Its biochemistry, specifically its diploid chromosome count, can be used to identify hybrids and classify groupings. The specific epithet "kuschkensis" refers to the region of Kazak, Turkestan and is also used for a species of Tulipa. It was first described in 1974 and is sometimes considered a synonym of Iris lineata. It is found in the Herat Province of Afghanistan.
