Aristea ecklonii is a plant species native to central and southern Africa, and is an evergreen perennial with small, blue flowers. It has become an invasive species in high mountain forests of Sri Lanka, Australia, and New Zealand, where it is a pest species on the NPPA banned list. It grows in clumps with upright, grass-like leaves 15–18 inches in height.
