Yucca glauca, also known as small soapweed or soapweed yucca, is a perennial evergreen plant that thrives in dry conditions. It forms colonies of rosettes with long, narrow leaves and pendent white to pale green flowers. This species is native to central North America, ranging from Canada to Texas and New Mexico. Yucca glauca has been observed to attract pollinators such as the "honey ant" and has been used as a traditional medicinal plant by Native American tribes. Its leaves, seeds, and roots have various uses, including food, decoration, and making household items. The young flower stalks and unripe fruits are also edible.
