Allium yanchiense is a plant species found only in China, specifically in the provinces of Gansu, Hebei, Nei Mongol, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shaanxi, and Shanxi. It typically grows at elevations between 1300-2000 meters. The plant has clusters of round bulbs that can reach up to 20 mm in diameter. Its stem, or scape, can grow up to 40 cm long and is round in shape. The leaves are tubular and shorter than the scape, measuring about 2 mm across. The plant produces spherical umbels, or clusters, of white or pinkish flowers.
