Allium roborowskianum is a type of wild onion found in Asia, specifically in Xinjiang and Mongolia. It typically grows at elevations between 1000-1300 meters. This plant produces a single round bulb that can reach up to 25 cm in diameter. Its stem, or scape, can grow up to 50 cm tall and is round in shape. The leaves are flat and linear, and are shorter than the scape, measuring up to 15 mm across. The flowers of Allium roborowskianum are white or lilac in color and are densely packed in a hemispherical shape. While some experts believe that Allium sinkiangense is the same species as A. roborowskianum, the World Checklist recognizes them as distinct species.
