Allium lemmonii, also known as Lemmon's onion, is a type of wild onion found in the western United States. It was named after botanist John Gill Lemmon and is commonly found in the Great Basin region at elevations between 1200-1900 meters. This plant grows from a small bulb and has a thin stem with an inflorescence of bell-shaped flowers. The flowers can range in color from white to pink and have either purple or yellow stamens. Lemmon's onion is a common plant in its native range and thrives in dry clay soils.
