Angelica glauca, also known as the smooth angelica, is a flowering plant that belongs to the Apiaceae family. It is native to regions ranging from eastern Afghanistan to western Tibet, specifically in the western Himalayas. Due to its essential oil being highly sought after, the plant has been overharvested in the wild and is now considered an endangered species.
