Arum italicum subsp. italicum is a subspecies of the flowering plant Arum italicum, belonging to the family Araceae. It is a variable subspecies with leaves that can have pale veining or blotching, and greenish to yellowish white spathe limbs. The spadix appendices are dark yellow. It is found in a wide range of habitats and is native to Europe, North Africa, and parts of Turkey. It has also been introduced to other regions as an ornamental plant. There is another subspecies, Arum italicum subsp. neglectum, which is found in the British Isles and western Europe. However, there are intermediate forms between the two subspecies and there have been proposals to merge them. Its relationship with other subspecies of A. italicum and with Arum concinnatum is not clear. This subspecies is hexaploid with 84 chromosomes.
