Selaginella hansenii is a species of spikemoss native to California. It is found in rocky areas in hills and mountains from the Cascade Range to the Central Valley and Tehachapis. It forms mats of spreading stems with small, forking branches and lance-shaped or triangular leaves up to 5-6mm long, which may be green, red, or a combination of both. The strobili containing the reproductive structures are under 1cm long.
