This is a summary of Pteris platyzomopsis, a fern in the family Pteridaceae. It is native to northern Australia and is considered endangered in New South Wales. It is unusual among ferns in that it may display incipient heterospory, with 32 microspores and 16 megaspores. It was previously placed in the genus Platyzoma, which was sometimes placed in its own family, Platyzomaceae. In 2011, it was transferred to the genus Pteris.
