Diplazium molokaiense, also known as the Molokai twinsorus fern, is a rare species of fern found only in Hawaii. It was historically found on multiple islands, but is now limited to Maui where less than 70 individual plants remain. This fern has dark green, shiny leaves with pointed tips and rippled edges. It grows in moist riparian forests near streams and waterfalls, alongside other plants such as ʻōlapa and ʻōhiʻa lehua. However, it is facing threats from habitat destruction and invasive species. Due to its limited population and habitat, Diplazium molokaiense was listed as an endangered species in 1994.
