Athyrium americanum, also known as the American alpine lady fern, is a type of fern found in the Aspleniaceae family. It is primarily found in the Russian Far East, subarctic regions of North America, and the western and central parts of the United States. This species is typically found at higher elevations and latitudes compared to the more common lady fern, Athyrium filix-femina.
