Pinus wangii, also known as the Guangdong white pine, is a type of conifer in the Pinaceae family. It was named after Dr. Shao-Ping Wang, a forest genetics professor. This tree is found in Yunnan Province in southern China, specifically in Wenshan Prefecture. Its presence in northern Vietnam is uncertain. Unfortunately, Pinus wangii is considered an endangered species according to the IUCN Red List due to ongoing logging activities. It is also under second-class national protection in China.
