Pinus jaliscana, also known as the Jalisco pine, is a type of conifer found in the Pinaceae family. It is only found in the southwestern region of Mexico, specifically on the Pacific slopes of the Sierra Madre del Sur in western Jalisco state. This species can be found in areas such as Sierra de Cuale, Sierra el Tuito, and south of Villa Purificación, at elevations ranging from 700 to 2,000 meters. Unfortunately, the Jalisco pine is facing a threat of habitat loss.
