Pinus georginae, also known as Pino chino, is a medium-sized conifer in the Pinaceae family. It was first described in 2009 and named after Georgina Vargas Amado. This species is found in west-central Jalisco, Mexico and grows in the Subtropical Biome. It can reach up to 20 meters tall and has a rounded crown. The bark is pale to dark grey and the leaves grow in fascicles of 3-5. The cones are curved and fall with part of the branchlet still attached. Pinus georginae is closely related to Pinus praetermissa and Pinus luzmarie, and is often parasitized by Cladocolea cupulata. Its lumber is of low quality, but it produces large amounts of resin which is harvested by locals. The conservation status of this species is currently "Not Evaluated" and it faces threats from deforestation and wildfires.
