Picea purpurea, also known as purple cone spruce, is a unique species of spruce that can only be found in China. It is believed to be a hybrid of two other spruce species, Picea likiangensis and Picea wilsonii, or potentially other species. This spruce is characterized by its distinctive purple cones, giving it its common name. It is a rare and fascinating species that adds to the diversity of China's flora.
