Keteleeria evelyniana, also known as Evelyn keteleeria, is a conifer species native to southern China, Laos, and Vietnam. It can reach heights of up to 40 meters and is found at elevations above 500 meters in Vietnam. The tree is often associated with Pinus spp. and other species of Fagaceae and Lauraceae. Its timber is insect resistant and used for construction and furniture making, while its seeds are rich in essential oil and used for burning and soap making. In 2009, a Keteleeria evelyniana tree in Seattle's Washington Park Arboretum was cut down, possibly for use as a Christmas tree. The species was listed as vulnerable on The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species in 2013 due to a significant decline in its population and fragmentation.
