Abies holophylla, also known as needle fir or Manchurian fir, is a type of evergreen tree found in mountainous areas of northern Korea, southern Ussuriland, and China. It can grow up to 30 meters tall and has a conical shape with horizontal branches. The bark is scaly and gray-brown, and the leaves are flattened and spread out at right angles from the shoot. Unlike other firs, the leaves of the Manchurian fir are sharp and prickly with no indentation at the top. The cones are yellow-brown and release seeds in October. While it is sometimes used as an ornamental plant, it is not very common.
