Ephedra multiflora is a type of plant that is found in northern Chile and Northwest Argentina. It was first described by Rodolfo Armando Philippi and later published by Otto Stapf in 1887. It was placed in section Ephedra sect. Alatae and later in 1996, Robert A. Price kept it in the same section without recognizing a specific tribe.
