Cycas badensis is a species of cycad native to Badu Island in the Torres Strait Islands of Australia. It can grow up to 8 meters tall and has numerous pinnate leaves with 200-230 leaflets. The new leaves are initially orange-brown and become green with a glossy upper side. The female cones are wooly and brown, with a wide base and orange-brown sarcotesta. This cycad is found in Eucalyptus groves in the tropical grasslands of Badu Island and was first described in 1996. It is not commonly cultivated and little is known about its characteristics.
