Widdringtonia schwarzii, also known as Willowmore cedar or Willowmore cypress, is a species of evergreen tree native to South Africa. It is found in the Baviaanskloof and Kouga Mountains in the Eastern Cape Province, growing on dry rocky slopes and crags at elevations of 600-1,200 m. This tree is threatened by habitat loss, particularly from wildfires, and is considered a protected species in South Africa. It can reach heights of 20-25 m and has scale-like leaves arranged in opposite pairs. Its cones are small and round, with four scales. This species is closely related to Widdringtonia wallichii, but can be distinguished by its larger seeds with a short wing.
