Larsenianthus assamensis is a species of ginger plant that was first described in 2010 and is native to northeastern India. It grows as an evergreen herbaceous plant and can reach heights of up to 1.44 meters. The plant has thick stems with elliptical leaves and a winding inflorescence at the tip. The flowers have white sepals and pink petals with orange-red lobes. The species has only been found in two locations in the state of Assam, where it thrives in tropical forests along rivers. It was named after the state of Assam and is part of the ginger family (Zingiberaceae).
