Musa tuberculata is a type of plant found in the banana family that is native to the Malesian region in Brunei. It is one of fourteen species of Musa that can only be found on the island of Borneo. The name "tuberculata" comes from the Latin word for "covered with small bumps". This plant belongs to the Callimusa section, which now includes the former Australimusa section, and has a diploid chromosome number of 2n = 20.
