Calathea crotalifera, also known as the rattlesnake plant or rattle shaker, is a flowering plant from the Marantaceae family. It is found in central and southern Mexico, Central America, and tropical South America, and has been introduced to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. This perennial plant grows up to 3 meters and is commonly found in wet tropical regions. It is often used as an ornamental plant.
