Lycium europaeum, commonly known as the European tea tree, European box‑thorn, or European matrimony‑vine, is a species of flowering plant in the Solanaceae family. It is native to the Mediterranean region, but has been introduced to the Canary Islands, Madeira, and the Balearic Islands. The fruit of this plant is edible and can be consumed.
