Datura ceratocaula is a species of Datura that is commonly grown in gardens and yards for its ornamental value. Originally from Mexico, this annual plant has a sweet-smelling flower and can be found in shallow water or swamps in its natural habitat. Its stalks are hollow and gray-green, with ovate-lanceolate leaves that have hairs on the underside. The plant produces broad, funnel-shaped flowers from June to September, which are white with a blue cast on the outside and white to pink on the inside. Unlike other Datura species, its seed pods are not thorny and resemble inverted eggs. The plant's stalks are curved like an animal's horn, giving it the name "ceratocaulus". Overall, Datura ceratocaula is a unique and attractive plant that adds beauty to any garden or yard.
