Brugmansia suaveolens, also known as Brazil's white angel trumpet, is a flowering plant in the nightshade family native to south eastern Brazil. It is a semi-woody shrub or small tree with large leaves and fragrant yellow or white trumpet-shaped flowers. The plant is now considered extinct in the wild, but is commonly found as an introduced species in other areas. It is popular in cultivation and has thousands of hybrid varieties. The plant is known for its use in traditional medicine and rituals, but it is also highly toxic and can cause various symptoms if ingested.
