Umbilicus horizontalis, also known as the horizontal navelwort, is a perennial flowering plant in the Crassulaceae family. It is native to the Mediterranean Basin and Middle East and can be found in rocky habitats from the Azores to Oman. This plant grows to an average height of 25 cm and has pale green bell-shaped flowers that grow in a perpendicular raceme. It is similar to common navelwort, but is more succulent and can be found in shady walls or damp rock crevices. Its dark green leaves form rosettes that are about 7 cm wide. This information can be found in the book "Mediterranean Wild Flowers" by Marjorie Blamey and Christopher Grey-Wilson.
