Echeveria strictiflora, also known as the desert savior, is a flowering plant found in southwestern Texas and the Chihuahuan Desert in northeast Mexico. It is characterized by small rosettes, ranging in color from glaucous to brownish green or green, with some populations having red leaf margins. The plant produces inflorescences up to 25 cm tall, with pink or orange flowers. It is a succulent perennial that thrives with minimal water in the winter and more water during the growing season. The plant is named after Atanasio Echeverría y Godoy, a botanical illustrator, and its species name, strictiflora, means 'straight flowers' in reference to its inflorescences. This plant is found in scattered populations rather than a continuous range.
