Crassula nudicaulis is a succulent plant native to South Africa and Lesotho. It is a perennial herb with a thickened taproot and several low rosettes of basal leaves. The leaves of this species can turn brown, but they do not adopt the brick red hues sometimes taken on by other species. The inflorescence is a spike with yellow anthers and distinctive dorsal appendages. There are several subspecies of this species, which vary in leaf shape and color. It is found on hillside and mountain slopes and is easy to grow as a potplant. Propagation is by division, offsets or leaf cuttings.
