Adromischus alstonii is a succulent plant from the Crassulaceae family, named after Edward Garwood Alston, a plant enthusiast from South Africa. It is native to the Succulent Karoo region in the Northern Cape and can reach up to 30 cm in height. Its branches have grey, grey-green, or brown-green bark and its leaves are narrow at the base and can grow up to 8 cm long. The plant produces inflorescences with sparsely-arranged flowers in mid-summer. It is found among rock outcrops and lower slopes in South West Africa and the north-western Cape Province. A. alstonii is drought-resistant and prefers a well-draining soil mix and plenty of sun. It can be easily propagated through leaf or stem cuttings.
