Philotheca obovalis is a small shrub that is native to New South Wales and belongs to the Rutaceae family. It has egg-shaped to heart-shaped leaves and white flowers with a pink tinge that grow singly in leaf axils. The plant can reach a height of 1 meter and has slightly hairy stems. It blooms in spring and produces fruit that is about 4.5 mm long. This species was first described in 1825 by Allan Cunningham and was later renamed by Paul G. Wilson in 1998. It is mainly found in the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales, growing in heath on sandstone.
