Leionema viridiflorum, also known as green phebalium, is a small shrub with pale yellow-greenish flowers that bloom in clusters at the end of branches from winter to early spring. It belongs to the Rutaceae family and is mostly found in northern New South Wales. The plant has needle-shaped stems covered in short, matted hairs and its leaves are erect, oblong, and dotted with glands. Its inflorescence is a cluster of 6-12 pendulous flowers with fleshy, hemispherical calyx and lance to oblong-shaped petals. The fruit is a capsule with a short beak. Leionema viridiflorum was first described by Paul Wilson in 1970 and was later renamed in 1998. It is mostly found in heath on trachyte outcrops in Warrumbungle National Park and Mount Kaputar National Park.
