of Flindersia maculosa
Flindersia maculosa, also known as leopardwood or leopard tree, is a tree species native to inland areas of eastern Australia. It has a unique appearance with mottled bark, simple leaves arranged in pairs, and white to cream-colored flowers. The fruit of this tree is studded with rough points and releases winged seeds. It was first described in 1848 and has since been used for various purposes such as fodder, construction, and medicinal remedies. This tree is also an important part of the ecosystem, providing food for moth larvae and serving as a host for mistletoe. It is currently classified as of "least concern" under conservation laws in Queensland.
