Eriostemon australasius, also known as pink wax flower, is a plant in the citrus family that is native to eastern Australia. It is a bushy shrub with narrow oblong leaves and pink flowers that bloom in late winter and early spring. The plant can grow up to 1-2 meters in height and has small star-like hairs on its leaves and petals. It is found in heathland and dry woodlands along the coast of New South Wales and Queensland. Pink wax flower has been cultivated since 1824 and can be grown in gardens with good drainage and some shelter. It is moderately frost tolerant and can be propagated from cuttings or seeds.
