Asterolasia hexapetala is a unique species of shrub that is native to the Warrumbungles in New South Wales. It has oblong leaves covered in star-shaped hairs, and white flowers with woolly hairs on the back. It can grow up to 3 meters tall and is typically found near water in forests and woodlands. This species was first described in 1825 and has since been used in horticulture, although it can be difficult to propagate. It is a beautiful and interesting plant that adds diversity to the Warrumbungles ecosystem.
