Agathosma crenulata, also known as oval leaf buchu, is a flowering plant found in southwestern South Africa. It grows in fynbos habitats near streams and can reach heights of 1.5-2.5 m. The leaves are oval-shaped and the flowers are white or pale pink with five petals. The plant produces a five-parted capsule fruit that releases seeds. It has been historically used as a flavoring agent and herbal remedy, similar to its close relative Agathosma betulina (round leaf buchu). The plant is known for its sweet-smelling flowers that attract insects and its leaves have been used to make remedies for gastrointestinal and urinary tract ailments.
