Chisocheton erythrocarpus is a tree belonging to the Meliaceae family, known for its red-fruited characteristic. It can grow up to 40 meters tall with a trunk diameter of 40 centimeters. The bark is dark grey to chocolate brown and the flowers are creamy-white. The fruits are round and yellow, turning blood-red when ripe, and can reach up to 6 cm in diameter. This tree is mainly found in Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, and the Philippines, and thrives in coastal forests.
