Psittacanthus robustus is a type of mistletoe found in various countries in South America, including Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, and Venezuela. Its branches are initially upright but become drooping as it matures, with square cross-sections. The leaves are petiolate and have a rounded shape at both the base and tip. The inflorescences are made up of clusters of yellow to orange flowers, and the fruit starts off green before turning black when ripe. The seeds have three cotyledons and a sticky substance inside. This species was first described in 1829 and later assigned to the genus Psittacanthus in 1830. It can be found in different types of forests and savannas in South America and has been observed to be eaten and dispersed by three species of birds. It has been found on thirteen different host plants from two plant families.
