Oncocalyx quinquenervius, also known as banded matchflower, is a parasitic plant species found in South Africa. It belongs to the family Loranthaceae and is a hemiparasite, meaning it obtains some of its nutrients from its host plant. The plant has tubular flowers with red and white bands and green, succulent leaves. It typically grows to a height of 50-100 cm and produces red berries. Previously classified as Tieghemia, this species is endemic to the Eastern Cape and KwaZuluNatal regions of South Africa. It is listed as Least Concern on the SANBI Redlist and is known to parasitize trees.
