Urtica chamaedryoides, also known as heartleaf nettle, is a flowering plant found in the Southeastern United States and northern Mexico. It is commonly found in moist, wooded areas and has also become a weed in some parts of Florida. Similar to other nettles, it has stinging hairs that can cause a painful sting when touched. The plant produces small green flowers that are pollinated by wind.
