Sorbus hupehensis, also known as Hupeh rowan or Hubei rowan, is a deciduous tree native to central and western China. It grows up to 5-10 meters tall with grey-brown to purplish-brown bark and slender branches and shoots. The leaves are green above and paler beneath, with 7-17 narrow oval leaflets that turn orange or red in autumn. The flowers are white with yellowish-white stamens and are produced in corymbs in late spring to early summer. The fruit is a bright pink pome that matures in late autumn. This tree is often grown as an ornamental for its white fruit and orange autumn color. There are two varieties of Sorbus hupehensis, and it is often confused with similar species such as Sorbus glabrescens and Sorbus oligodonta. The cultivar 'Pink Pagoda' is actually a variety of S. oligodonta.
