Sanguisorba canadensis, also known as the white burnet or Canadian burnet, is a flowering plant found in North America. It typically grows in wet areas such as bogs, swamps, and roadsides, and can reach heights of four to five feet. Its creamy white flowers bloom in cylindrical spikes from summer to autumn. Unlike other related plants, the leaves of Sanguisorba canadensis must be cooked before consumption to remove their bitter taste.
