Potentilla chamissonis, also known as the bluff cinquefoil, is a plant that can be found in various regions such as Svalbard, northern Norway, Greenland, and the eastern Arctic of Canada. It typically grows on steep slopes and in crevices. This plant has a loose tufted appearance and can reach heights of 10-25 cm. Its leaves are 3-5 foliate and covered in hair on the top, while the bottom is densely covered in tomentose. The inflorescence is branched and produces several large flowers with five pale yellow petals that are longer than the sepals.
